Communities and Residents (C&R) is calling for expressions of interest from experienced and community-focused individuals wishing to stand for Maungakiekie-Tāmaki Councillor, Maungakiekie-Tāmaki Local Board, and the Mt Wellington Licensing Trust in the Auckland 2022 local elections.
The Maungakiekie-Tāmaki Local Board, which has seven members, covers the south-eastern part of the isthmus, including One Tree Hill, Onehunga, Oranga, Penrose, Mt Wellington, Panmure and Glen Innes. While the Maungakiekie-Tāmaki Ward, represented by one Councillor, overlaps with the local board area and includes parts of Ellerslie and St Johns.
The Mt Wellington Licensing Trust, which consists of six members, specifically serves the communities in Mt Wellington and Panmure. Any interested candidates must reside in the Trust’s boundary.
Serving Aucklanders for over 80 years, C&R will ensure Auckland achieves its potential by unlocking Auckland's transport gridlock; having more local decisions made locally; delivering value-for-money to ratepayers; and promoting a prosperous economy.
Please email your expressions of interest to [email protected] by 5pm, Monday 13 December.
