Josh Doubtfire

Local Board Candidate for Waitematā

Josh Doubtfire

Being a 4th generation Waitematā local and resident of Freemans Bay for 15 years I have a passion for my community and will seek common-sense, low-cost changes in Waitematā.

As a former Western Springs College student, loyal Grey Lynn RSC patron and one of your local café baristas studying at Auckland University, I know we have a strong community.  I want our Local Board to listen to us.

I was a Western Springs College Board of Trustees member and bring a youth perspective to community issues like CBD congestion, late buses, roadwork chaos and unswimmable local beaches. The Local Board can’t sit back, it needs to challenge Council to deliver better results for Waitematā.

As an elected member I will support local groups, push for cleaner waterways and work to improve the Council and Local Board’s accountability to communities and residents.
