Troy Churton

Versatile executive with considerable legal and government experience. Presently managing strategic relations and statutory responsibilities for an autonomous Crown agency in the retirement village industry.

Current Board member, certified Commissioner, portfolio lead for planning and regulatory. Troy holds Council processing planners firmly to account, advocates for community views given reduced participation rights. He wants master plans for recreational areas like Madill's Farm, Okahu Landing, Ngahue, Liston and Colin Maiden completed.

Former solicitor, past Parnell Community Trust chair, founder of a coast care project in Northland. As past Hobson Community Board chair, Troy started the vision for the hugely successful 'circumnavigable' Ōrākei Basin Walkway.

Troy has lived in Remuera for 50 years, married to Janet with young adult children Ella, twins George and Louis.

A leader who is interest-based, strategic, intent on sustaining environmental and lifestyle qualities in Ōrākei.
