Debbie Burrows
Maungakiekie-Tāmaki Local Board Deputy Chairperson

In my second term on the Local Board, I’ve served as Deputy Chair and a board member of the Onehunga Business Association.

I have lived in Onehunga for 20+ years, raised my children here, and operated a local hospitality business. I have 15 years of senior management experience, including in the not-for-profit sector working for low-income families and youth.

I have a reputation for making things happen. My priority is to ensure that all residents and businesses are heard. I will continue to take an active role to preserve the character of Onehunga. With your C&R team, I will prioritise that infrastructure caters for housing density, smart development of the town centre and wharf area, and an integrated public transport hub.

I provide an experienced, strategic and enterprising perspective to the local board and add value through common sense approach and forward-thinking.
