Kendyl Smith
Albert-Eden Local Board Deputy Chairperson

It's been a privilege to serve the Albert-Eden community over the last three years, currently as Deputy Chair of the Local Board.

After attending ANI, EGGS, and Auckland University, I have lived here for over 20 years, and now with my husband, raising our two children. My passion is to see Albert-Eden continue as a safe and thriving community for everyone.

I gained extensive experience in managing people, resources, finance and budgets whilst managing a division at The Parenting Place. I will continue to work hard to ensure the community’s voice is heard, for practical, prudent and transparent governance, sensible solutions for all transport modes and for environmental sustainability. I’m a strong advocate for local businesses and community well-being.

As a team, we supported recovery packages for businesses during Covid and fought to retain special character areas.
