Mike Single
Candidate for Devonport-Takapuna Local Board

North Shore resident for over 25 years, I live in Bayswater with my wife and have happily raised and educated my three children locally.

A Company Director (BCom) with over 40 years’ experience in the healthcare (age care/mental health), tourism and commercial property sectors, I offer practical solutions for local issues.

Passionate about sport and recreation, I was heavily involved with the North Shore Rugby Club (1992 – 2015) and was on the Board of Trustees for Takapuna Grammar (12 years).

It’s clear, Council is not working for our community. Risk of heritage and over intensification, coupled with a lack of quality design is damaging our neighbourhoods. Reckless spending and ongoing pressure to sell our parks/recreation facilities must stop!

Alongside your C&R team, I’ll advocate for: an integrated transport system; greater accountability from Auckland Transport; financial prudence; and efficiencies.
