Thomas Sayers
Candidate for Albert-Eden Local Board (Owairaka)

I live on the boundary in Sandringham with my flatmates. I'm passionate about positive and constructive discussion, environmental sustainability, and community safety.

Having completed a master's degree in management, I now run my own tutoring business. I know the importance of working with others to get things done. I volunteer at a local elder care home and have a cultural awareness that lets me genuinely connect with people from different backgrounds. I speak Mandarin and Cantonese and am learning Te Reo Māori.

As a youthful yet mature candidate, my reasons for standing are: to celebrate our age and cultural diversity, support our local village centres and businesses, and address issues such as safety through collaboration with local organisations and leaders.

I will respect your views and ensure everyone is fairly represented on the Local Board.
