Tony Woodcock
Maungakiekie-Tāmaki Local Board Member

Current local board member, I’m the proud business owner of three hospitality venues in Maungakiekie-Tāmaki, including Onehunga’s Good Home and Sylvia Park. I lived in the area for over 18 years with my wife and two children.

Maungakiekie has a nice mix of inner city living, with a range of family-friendly parks and very strong sense of community. On the board, I call out the constant battles you face with traffic, excessive red-tape and Council’s poor community consultation, i.e. Onehunga’s temporary low traffic area debacle.

I’ll continue to utilise my pragmatic business skills within Council and help ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and deliver what our community wants and needs.

I’m here for Maungakiekie. I understand the importance of serving our community through collaboration. As Maungakiekie grows and changes, we need the right people making the right decisions.
