Voting begins in Albert-Eden by-election


By-election packs are being mailed out and voting has begun for the Albert-Eden Local Board (Maungawhau subdivision) by-election, encompassing Kingsland, Balmoral, Epsom, Mount Eden, Greenlane and part of One Tree Hill.

C&R candidate Will McKenzie is standing up for local communities and looking forward to working as part of the strong and capable C&R Maungawhau team. Will has lived in Albert-Eden for over 25 years, and as a resource management lawyer brings over 25 years' experience in public and transport policy and sports management.

Supporting fair, transparent and sensible decision-making by the local board, Will will advocate for:

✓ Lower rates rises

✓ Central Auckland’s first ‘Recycling and Waste Education Centre'

✓ A financially sustainable Eden Park

✓ Critical sports field upgrades and increased green space

✓ A more responsive Auckland Transport to reduce local traffic congestion

✓ Safer streets and neighbourhoods

✓ A Transport Hub at Greenlane Train Station

Once you receive your by-election pack, fill in your ballot, put it in the pre-paid envelope provided and post it back! Until close of voting at 12 noon on Friday 21st May, you can also put your envelope in one of Auckland Council's ballot boxes outside the entrance at the following locations:
